About this library

This library collects descriptive clinical questions of the kind asked in university examinations, each with a written model answer. It exists because most online question banks are multiple-choice, while medical faculties still examine by long and short answer.

Every case opens with a short clinical vignette and the images that go with it — radiology, operative views, clinical photographs. The questions that follow move from diagnosis to investigation to management, in the order an examiner tends to ask them.

Answers are written to be said out loud in a viva: complete, structured and free of padding. References at the foot of each case point to the guideline or textbook chapter the answer follows, so you can read further or check anything that looks unfamiliar.

The content is edited by practising clinicians and reviewed annually. It is free, public and indexed — nothing is hidden behind a login.
